To maximize the benefits of therapy, you are required to consistently attend your scheduled session. Missing 3 or more scheduled sessions may result in the loss of your recurring session time slot and may result in you being discharged from the therapy process. Additionally, there is a missed session fee for any no-show appointments.
-
Please arrive on time as you use up your own treatment time when you arrive late and sessions generally end on time to accommodate other clients who have scheduled appointments after you.
-
Due to state licensure board requirements I am only able to see clients who are physically located in the states I am licensed in. At this time I am only licensed in the states of Massachusetts and Wisconsin.

Reach out! I’d be happy to connect with you! Click on the “Contact” page and complete the form. I will reach back out as soon as I am able to. Once we’ve connected, we can schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation to make sure that I can help you address your needs.
I’m scheduled for a 15-minute consultation and I don’t know what to expect.
It’s natural to not know what to expect in a quick consultation. This phone call will allow you to briefly share why you are seeking therapy services and your goals. It will also give me the opportunity to tell you if I believe I can be a support to you and your specific needs. Additionally, it allows us to sense if we will be a good fit for one another.
What if we aren’t a good fit? It’s important both the client and therapist feels like the therapeutic relationship is a good fit. The therapeutic relationship is unique for each person, so it’s beneficial to notice how you feel when you meet with a therapist. Do you feel comfortable talking to them? Does this person specialize in your particular concern?
Sometimes it’s clear after the 15-minute phone consultation we aren’t a good fit. Other-times it can take a few sessions. Either way, no hard feelings, what matters most is that as a client you feel heard. If we aren’t a good fit, I will provide you 3 referrals to other clinicians in your area.

The best way to know if therapy is working is to identify treatment goals. Treatment goals allow us to keep track of the effectiveness of our time together. You’ll know if therapy is working because you will be working on and meeting your goals. You may notice improvement in aspects of your life that were effected by the concern that brought you to therapy.
Going to therapy is like going to the gym; you may feel sore and you won’t see immediate effects, but the long-term results are gratifying and well-worth the investment.
