Counseling is the process of meeting with a therapist to work towards gaining insight into the root cause of your distress and to learn tools to manage thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and/or body sessions that make it difficult to feel like you are living a fulfilling life. Through the therapeutic process you can find increased satisfaction in your professional and personal life, improvement in your relationship with yourself and others, and a deeper understanding of self.
I work with young adults and professionals on an individual basis who have been feeling stuck or not like themselves. I utilize a person-centered, mindfulness based approach to help guide you to your goals. Individual therapy can help you with: interpersonal skills, confidence building, work/life balance, navigating adulthood, self-care/ self-improvement, life transitions, anxiety, trauma, and grief/loss. Life can be messy and complex and therapy offers you a non-judgement space to work through the complexities of it.
OUR SESSIONS WILL BE
Personalized
Our initial session, otherwise known as the intake, will be dedicated to assessing the concerns bringing you to therapy and your current wellness. We will then work towards creating a personalized plan to fit your unique needs and goals.
Targeted
Everyone has pain points when it comes to achieving mental health and wellness goals. I will work closely with you to help identify and learn ways to manage those pain points.
Integrative
Therapy is not one size fit all. Through getting to know you, your needs, and your unique background, we will explore and use methods that work for you. I use an integrative approach of applying evidence based techniques like ACT, CBT, DBT with mindfulness training, expressive arts, movement, writing, and more.
